The Chef AL TV Show!

December 12, 2006

The Great Aussie Burger

Ah…The sweet memories of you still linger on, deep down, inside of me…How could I ever forget you? *Sniff* *Sniff*

Ladies and gentlemen, people of all ages, I have an announcement to make. For this is probably going to be one of the most personal entries I will ever post on this blog.

Why?

Christmas must the cause of Schizophrenia.

December 11, 2006

Why do you ask? Well, watch this great documented case of Prehistoric Monster Syndrome on national TV!

How to Fake it at Christmas
Plus, I’ve been brought up on the concept that whatever is presented on the goo/you/telly tube must be the truth, which I can’t hardly say the same for the stuff I read on the internets. :( Plus, who doesn’t want to spread some joy, correct? :P

You can be sure I’ll be using these tips as well, in efforts to provide anger management training to myself. ;)

Season of Love, Season of Luck.

December 11, 2006

Let me ask you, how lucky have you been in the past month?

I’ve seen so many good things happening to so many people in the past month and start to wonder, what’s the cause of all this great fortune?

I mean, what is it happening to so many people? Or should I say even more accurately, more or less within the same time span?

Michael Buble, that’s all. Quite literally, that’s all.

December 10, 2006

This song goes all to all the old and sentimental coots out there that still believe in the standards. :) As odd as it is would seem that I would upload a Michael Buble song when talking about the standards but I will have to say, he’s probably the closest modern ‘old school‘ crooner I can think of, other than Harry Connick Jr. of course. :P

Dedicated to all the lost loves and old school romantics out there, enjoy this wonderful rendition of “That’s All” by Michael Buble.

That’s All by Michael Buble

I can only give you love that lasts forever,
And a promise to be near each time you call.
And the only heart I own
For you and you alone
That’s all,
That’s all…

I can only give you country walks in springtime
And a hand to hold when leaves begin to fall;
And a love whose burning light
Will warm the winter’s night
That’s all,
That’s all.

There are those I am sure who have told you,
They would give you the world for a toy.
All I have are these arms to enfold you,
And a love time can never destroy.

If you’re wondering what I’m asking in return, dear,
You’ll be glad to know that my demands are small.
Say it’s me that you’ll adore,
For now and evermore
That’s all,
That’s all.

Hmmm, one more for the road! :D

These Foolish Things (Remind Me Of You) by Michael Buble

A cigarette that bears a lipsticks’ traces
An airline ticket to romantic places
And still my heart has wings
These foolish things remind me of you

A tinkling piano in the next apartment
Those stumbling words that told you what my heart meant
A fairgrounds’ painted swing
These foolish things remind me of you

I know that this was bound to be
These things have haunted me
For you, my dear, enchanted me
The winds of March that make my heart a dancer
A telephone that ring, but whose to answer?
Oh, how the ghost of you clings
These foolish things remind me of you

The smile of Garbo
And the scent of roses
The waiters’ whistlin’ as the last bar closes
The song that Ella sings
These foolish things remind me of you

Babe, these things remind me of you

Ok, ok. Maybe just one more. :P

Anyone to Love by Michael Buble

Another night, another drink
Another time to contemplate and think
Will I ever, ever have anyone to love

It’s not that I don’t try
Maybe I try too hard
Seems like I’m living a lie
So there’s a game I just won’t learn
And I wonder will I always be alone
I take a sip and wonder
Why I haven’t anyone to love

I guess I’ll say goodnight
My drink’s done and it’s morning light
Sorry my friend but you see
What other ending could there be
And I wonder will I always be alone?
I take a drink and wonder
Will I ever have anyone to love?

I do seem like a Michael Buble fanboy, now do I? :(

Michael Buble - My Grown up christmas list

Do you remember me?
I sat upon your knee
I wrote to you with childhood fantasies
Well, I’m all grown-up now
Can you still help somehow?
I’m not a child, but my heart still can dream
So here’s my lifelong wish
My grown-up Christmas list
Not for myself, but for a world in need

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
Every man would have a friend
That right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown-up Christmas list

What is this illusion called the innocence of youth?
Maybe only in that blind belief can we ever find the truth

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal our hearts
Every man would have a friend
That right would always win
And love would never end

This is my grown-up Christmas list
This is my only lifelong wish
This is my grown-up Christmas list

Battlestar Galactica, Unfinished Business. Best episode thus far!

December 5, 2006

Unfinished Business

As I was scouring YouTube for my daily comedy fix, I had noticed that someone actually took the time to upload the latest episode of Battlestar Galactica, Season 3: Episode 9, Unfinished Business, onto it.

Being the fanboy of the show I am, I have decided to link the video files onto my blog. :) Now before I link them, I’d like to give my 2 cents concerning this episode because this episode is probably the best episode for this current season, which in all honest, says quite a lot due to the current down-hill state of the series.

The joys of Blogging is very similar to Nuclear Warfare

December 4, 2006

Last 100 visitors

The last 100 visitors to this blog, today.

As some of you may have noticed, I have a sitemeter thingofajig that tracks the number of page hits as well as the point of origin of those hits. In the picture above, those dots represent the last 100 hits I’ve received on this blog, which is interesting to say the least.

Interesting because it proves that the world is indeed flat and even though I am in this dingy little village, I am actually able to reach out to other readers from all over the globe with my questionable posts. :p Still, I am sadden by the fact that I dont get any readers from Russia. Where are you’s? :(

ANYHOW, that isn’t the real reason as to why I made this post. The main reason as to why I made this post is in actual fact, related to the following image.

DEFCON. Everyone Dies.

Nuclear Warfare on a global scale. DEFCON-Everyone Dies.

The sitemeter World Map reminds me of a tactical global map used to track nuclear weapons that are being flung all over the planet. Much like what is probably observed by those who work in the Cheyenne Mountain Operations Center when the apocalypse arrives. :(

NORAD Command Center

The NORAD Command Center. The room where people get to watch foreign nations go ka-boom and also track Santa Claus.

Still, anyone up for a round of WarGames? :P

OPACO. 15,000 frames of Photographic Cinematics.

December 4, 2006

Opaco.

I had the oppurtunity of viewing this very intriguing trailer of a short film named Opaco.

Opaco Trailer

What is Opaco?

Two former lovers spend a final day together searching for a specific place. What is to happen in that place once they find it is not certain. Throughout the day we glimpse inside this fading relationship.

At first my initial impression was, “Wow, this film was completely shot using photographic techniques! I mean, each frame looks like a photograph!”. After that short but beautiful trailer, I wasn’t all too impressed actually. I mean, it looked very photographic in its presentation but it was still film-making with just an extremely biased photographic style in it.

Little did I know that I was actually far from the truth once I actually discovered the significance of this film, Opaco, as qouted from the gallery of its creator, Martin Crespo.
